Secondary Cover Supervisor – DN16 – September 2026
A secondary school in DN16 is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026.
The role involves stepping into classes when a teacher is absent and supervising students while they complete work that has already been prepared for them. You will not be expected to plan lessons. Instead, your responsibility is to ensure pupils understand the tasks they have been given, remain engaged with their learning and follow the school’s behaviour expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
We actively encourage applications from candidates with transferable experience. This includes people from support work, childcare, social work, sports coaching, healthcare, youth work, mentoring, care and other people-focused backgrounds.
You do not necessarily need previous school experience if you can demonstrate the right skills and experience working with young people.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits

Whether your experience is in support work, childcare, social work, sports coaching, healthcare, youth work or another transferable area, we’d be keen to speak to you.
