Job Title: Pupil Support Assistant
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Provide Education is seeking a motivated, and proactive Pupil Support Assistant to join one of our partner Primary Schools in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children with a range of learning, emotional, social, and physical needs, including those with SEND and EHCPs. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and feel included within a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils under the direction of the class teacher.

Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans, delivering targeted interventions such as phonics, numeracy, nurture and SEMH support.

Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in learning.

Assist with classroom preparation and adapt learning resources to suit individual pupil needs.

Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times (break/lunch).

Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to create an inclusive learning environment.

Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures, providing personal care or medical support where required.
Requirements
-
Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).

Experience working with children in an educational setting.

Strong understanding of child development, SEND needs, and inclusive support strategies.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
