Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum to meet the diverse needs of Year 2 students.
  2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
  3. Implement effective behavior management strategies and promote positive behavior, social skills, and emotional well-being.
  4. Assess student progress, track academic achievement, and provide timely feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to create a supportive and enriching learning community.
  6. Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and school events to contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement and success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 2
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum, assessment frameworks, and pedagogical best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Passion for teaching, dedication to student success, and commitment to lifelong learning
