Job Opportunity: Secondary Science Teacher Needed in Rotherham

Competitive Rates:

Qualified Teachers: £170 – £230

Unqualified Teachers: £130 – £150

 

Are you passionate about igniting curiosity and discovery in young minds? Join our team as a Secondary Science Teacher in Rotherham! We’re searching for an enthusiastic individual to inspire students and cultivate a love for science in the classroom.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons across various disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics) that engage and challenge students.
  • Utilise hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to bring scientific concepts to life and promote enquiry-based learning.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel empowered to explore scientific ideas and develop critical thinking skills.
  • Assess student understanding through a variety of assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular connections and integrate real-world applications into the science curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and extracurricular activities to enrich the educational experience for students.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in education, either as a teacher or through relevant placements
  • Enhanced DBS check with update service (or willingness to obtain one through Provide Education)
