Job Description

Location: Rotherham

Are you passionate about exploring diverse cultures and beliefs with students? Join our team as a Secondary RE Teacher in Rotherham! We’re seeking a dynamic individual to inspire students and foster understanding in this vital subject area. ECTs are encouraged to also apply!

Competitive Rates:

Qualified Teachers: £170 – £230

Unqualified Teachers: £130 – £150

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons that explore religious and ethical concepts, promoting critical thinking and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics and expressing their beliefs.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and promote cross-curricular connections.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student learning and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in education, either as a teacher or through relevant placements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but not mandatory
  • Enhanced DBS check with update service (or willingness to obtain one through Provide Education)
