A specialist provision in Barnsley is seeking a Classroom Teacher from September 2021. The provision caters for young people from KS1 – KS4 with complex Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs.
This is a full-time post, and the appointed teacher will be offered a permanent contract following a successful probationary period.
We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about providing the best possible education and care for vulnerable students in an inspiring learning environment. This post will involve leading classes in a primary type model for a small group of students in our satellite provisions. Post holders will deliver the majority of the curriculum with specialist areas such as PE and Art delivered by specialist staff.
This post is suited to a candidate who has the commitment, passion and resilience to make a difference to pupils who have a range of social, emotional, mental health and special educational needs.
This role is ideal for a teacher with a proven track record of exceptional practice, who is able to work positively with vulnerable pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). You will be passionate about making a real difference to student’s life chances and supporting them in achieving their potential in essential life skills. The ability to think creatively and to engage young people is essential, along with resilience, drive and high expectations to inspire students to achieve.
