We work closely with William Henry Smith school in Halifax and its an exciting time for one of their pupils this month.
After an intensive training and selection process ten students from across the UK were given a place on the 'The Highest Classroom on Earth'. We were pleased to announce that one of the students, Josh Simpson at William Henry Smith School in Halifax successfully gained a place, alongside PE teacher Mr Campbell.
In October 2013 they will all embark on the challenge of a lifetime - a fifteen day trek to the Himalayas. It is an expedition that will test them to their physical and emotional limits, a gruelling yet potentially life-changing adventure where they will trek to the Mount Everest Base Camp and beyond to the Kala Patthar summit.
They needed to raise over £3000 for the trip and Provide Education got involved in fundraising for this amazing cause. We were delighted to hear they successfully hit their target so Josh could embar on this life changing adventure.
Good luck to all the team on their adventure.
