St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Rotherham are in the process of raising funds for an expedition in 2018 to Africa.
In 2012 and 2015 2 groups of students from the school travelled from South Yorkshire to Lesotho in Africa, to work in partnership with students from Ribaneng High School to improve the lives of the community in Lesotho.
The expeditions carried out a range of improvements, including providing safe clean water, renovating buildings, and encouraging self-sufficiency in food. Many lives have been changed both in Africa and the UK through this work.
The school are now planning to continue this work in November 2018 with a third expedition and they are in the processes of carrying out various sponsored events in order to help fund this fantastic cause. When we heard about this it was something that we were keen to be involved with and following several discussion we were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £350.00. Pictured in the presentation is Issie, Will and Alex from the school who have all been selected to participate in the expedition along with Richard Kaye the Branch Manager at Provide Education.
We would like to wish the school the very best of luck with everything and we look forward to updates in due course.
