Just before Christmas we applied for REC Audited Education Status and we were given the opportunity to be audited a week after our application was made which we accepted. Following an in depth application process and an on-site audit visit from the Head of Compliance at the REC we were delighted to be awarded the award immediately. :-) The full day on-site visit involved checking all our procedures were 100% and involved random file sampling of our candidates who currently work for us.
What does this mean?
The REC Education Audited Award verifies that Provide Education policies and procedures are in accordance with the Employment Agencies Act, The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003, the REC Code of Professional Practice and safeguarding practices in relation to children.
(In short it means we are doing everything we should be doing in our vetting procedures before sending any staff to a school)
Kevin Green (CEO of REC) stated in his award letter to us "Gaining this award acknowledges the dedication and professionalism that you and your staff deliver and ensures these stringent standards of compliance and best practice are met on a daily basis. In attaining it, Provide Education is a credit to the REC and the reputation of the industry".
Vetting is always been at the forefront of our daily practice and will continue to be so. This award and recent audit will hopefully give you more reassurance that we are doing everything that we should be doing to ensure safety for your pupils.
Moving forward, Provide Education aim to continue supplying the best possible quality of staff, service, value for money and vetting standards available to schools and childrens centres in our schools.
