At Provide, we are currently working on a number of Special Educational Need and Disabilities (SEND) positions based within the South Yorkshire area. In particular, we are looking to recruit full-time primary and secondary learning support assistants to work within a Social Emotional Mental Heath (SEMH) through school. These roles are to start as soon as possible, ideally before February half term.
The successful candidate must have:
- Maths and English GCSE minimum Grade C, or equivalent
- Be available to work full time during term time
- An enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for a new disclosure
- Team Teach (ideal although not essential)
We are particularly looking for individuals who have a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and have a genuine commitment to making a difference to the education of young people. If you have previously worked with vulnerable adults or children, have a degree – perhaps psychology focused, or any other recent experience working with people with SEND, then you will certainly have the transferable skills we will require for these roles. If you feel you would flourish in such a role then we would love to hear from you.
The school itself is a contemporary, calm and safe learning environment in which students flourish. The school also features many sensory areas where pupils are allowed to learn and develop outside of the classroom. The school is based within the heart of the South Yorkshire district and is easily accessible via both public transport and motorway links; the school also has ample onsite parking.
